Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Coordinator.
Australian Textile Mills (ATM) is the premier Australian textile manufacturing company. It is located in Wangaratta, in northeast Victoria, and it is leading the way in the manufacture and supply of innovative and decorative textiles, including window furnishings and high-performance, life-protective fabrics.
Australian Textile Mills is looking for an Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Coordinator.
Your main responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and maintaining Occupational Health and Safety programs, policies, and procedures, as well as keeping track of the Injury / Incident register.
You will also be responsible for coordinating regular safety inspections, training, and educating employees on safety protocols and maintaining the consultation process through OHS meetings.
For the OHS Coordinator role, the following qualifications and attributes are desirable:
• Minimum Certificate IV in WHS
- Demonstrated experience in injury management.
- Experience in a similar role at least 3 years
- Coordinate the reporting of identified hazards, risks or incidents and ensure risk assessments are undertaken and control measures are adequate.
- Strong collaboration skills
- Strong knowledge and application of relevant laws and regulations applicable to Victoria
- Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Proficient in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations and implementing safety improvements.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite • Facilitating and coordinating safety training initiatives
