About the role

The CCU provides assessment and residential services within a highly structured physical environment. Consumers, carers and families receive high levels of contact with staff who will work to promote self-determination and empowerment, enabling progress towards achieving personal recovery goals. Working under the supervision and support of the OT Grade 2, the OT1 will provide high quality occupational therapy, mental health assessment and consultation to the CCU; provide recovery orientated case management; participate in the group program; and work closely with the multidisciplinary team.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Board of Australia, Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency
• Sound theoretical knowledge and demonstrated ability in the delivery and evaluation of a range of high quality occupational therapy services within a mental health setting
• Understanding of evidence based practice and models of occupational therapy, related assessment and their application in practice 
• Experience and understanding of NDIS and case management of consumers in mental health setting
• Commitment to supervised and reflective practice
• The ability to work as part of a diverse team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
