Hunter Home Modifications is a not-for-profit organisation delivering services to clients in the aged and disability sectors. We are based at Cardiff and complete in-home assessments, home modifications and home maintenance, predominately in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie LGAs.
The role
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) who is passionate, professional and friendly to join our team of OTs. The role is a fixed term full time position until July 2025. In this role you will be providing community-based assessments and interventions to clients under the Commonwealth Home Support Program, Home Care Packages and National Disability Insurance Scheme. Interventions will focus on home modifications (basic and complex), equipment prescription (primarily basic), therapy support and referrals to additional services for ongoing support.

Essential criteria
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration or eligibility for registration with AHPRA.
- Understanding of delivering community-based assessments and recommendations for service users, using sound clinical judgement and evidence-based practice.
- Australian Drivers Licence
- Current Police Check and Working with Children Check
- COVID-19 vaccinations
