  • Salary: $86,950 - $100,729 p.a. (pro rata)– AHP2 - Permanent Full-Time

Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is eager to recruit an Occupational Therapist to work in our dynamic, growing and supportive team, to help us deliver exceptional care to our community.

Located on Kaurna Country, in the North and North-Eastern Suburbs of Adelaide, close to the world-famous Barossa Valley wine region, and within 30 minutes of the CBD, NALHN serves more than 400 000 people at the Lyell McEwin and Modbury Hospitals, along with our state-of-the-art Specialist Ambulatory Rehabilitation Centre and our community and home-based sites. The network boasts newly redeveloped wards and Emergency and Outpatient Departments, with plans for the addition of more brand-new facilities in the near future. Our 300-plus Allied Health professionals play an integral role in multidisciplinary teams delivering outstanding care to patients across our acute, subacute and hospital avoidance services.

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as an Occupational Therapist within the Allied Health Division.

The Occupational Therapist (AHP2) is accountable to the Senior Manager Occupational Therapy NALHN for the provision assessment and treatment services for Inpatients and Outpatients of NALHN which aims to optimise health outcomes. The incumbent will rotate through a series of clinical services, including general medical, surgical, orthopaedics, neurology, emergency and short stay areas.

The Occupational Therapist applies clinical experience, increasing clinical knowledge and professional competence to plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive and integrated services to the needs of clients of NALHN. The Occupational Therapist works under limited direct clinical supervision and may provide direction and support to less experience therapists, Allied Health Assistants and students.

The Occupational Therapist works collaboratively with the Allied Health Multi-Disciplinary Team and liaises directly with Medical, Nursing Staff of NALHN and with other Community Agencies.

To be eligible for this position, you must have an Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Australia.
