CGOT Occupational Therapy supports kids and adults, with a special interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals as well as those experiencing mental health challenges.
Clients are primarily Geelong based with some clients located max. 30 mins drive from Geelong. The job offers full autonomy to work to your own schedule promoting work-life balance. Weekly supervision available.
The job:
- Manage caseload, developing therapy plan to support client outcomes
- Administer clinical assessments to evaluate functional capacity
- Develop person-centred goals in consultation with clients
- Deliver evidence-based support services to enhance life skills and independence
- Assess environments and recommend strategies for inclusion
- NDIS report writing and OT support letters for assistive technology as needed
- For kids / teen clients - maintaining communication between school and parents/carers
The ideal candidate has:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid AHPRA Registration and National Police Clearance
- Working With Children Check
- Own car
- Experience working with NDIS participants
- Compassionate and empathetic approach
- Ability to work independently
- Interest in gaining experience with individuals across the lifespan
- Interest in neurodevelopmental conditions and mental health
- An interest in nature based therapy or mindfulness based practice a plus though not essential!
