Follow the link to find out what its like to live, work and play in our wonderful region:About the role:Come and join the GV Health Rural Allied Health Team (RAHT), a team with a well renowned supportive workplace culture with an opportunity to work alongside experienced Occupational Therapists. You will work autonomously, undertake a varied and diverse workload and provide interventions in predominately home-based settings, making a true difference to our client's independence and well-being. There is no nursing home work.The team is an established and progressive multi-disciplinary team which includes Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Social Work and Speech Pathology services, supported by Allied Health Assistants. There is no nursing home work.The Occupational Therapist will provide person centred care with an opportunity to:
- Work with clients, carers and families to provide practical solutions to promote independence and safety at home
- Develop goals and care plans to assist clients to remain at home and active in their local community
- Work with a diverse range of clients and health conditions
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent and eligibility for membership of professional association;
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist;
- Experience in the delivery of Occupational Therapy services within home, group and community settings, including home modifications and prescription of assistive technology;
- Experience in the delivery of Occupational Therapy services within home, group and community settings to clients with complex presentations, inclusive of complex health conditions, memory impairment, cultural and diverse backgrounds.
