About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Allied Health team as anOccupational Therapist , where you will be responsible for:
- Develop, coordinate, and implement high-quality occupational therapy services for children with developmental, medical, surgical, orthopedic, and chronic conditions and their families.
- Provide services to inpatients, outpatients, or at outreach locations.
- Provide a learning environment for students, colleagues and the WCHN community
- Contribute to the effective and professional functioning of the Occupational Therapy Service
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification, which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to demonstrate effective time management
- Experience with the provision and promotion of high quality, efficient and effective Occupational Therapy services
- Experience with assessment, treatment and providing advice in the area of infant development, occupational performance in pre-school and school age children including sensory processing, orthopaedic upper limb and chronic conditions
- Knowledge of relevant Paediatric Occupational Therapy theories and models
