About the role:
The Occupational Therapist is an integral part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team providing care to patients of Mudgee Health Service. This position will provide Occupational Therapy services to the Emergency Department and Inpatient ward. The Occupational Therapists will have an integral role in screening all patients admitted to the Emergency Department and Inpatient ward with a particular focus on patients >65 years old and further assessing those deemed appropriate for full Occupational Therapy assessment, recommendation and discharge planning.
This position is eligible for accommodation assistance.
This position aims to enhance and support patient flow through ED and the Inpatient ward, building a greater understanding of the benefits Occupational Therapy can have in preventing hospital admissions and supporting safe patient discharge from the Hospital.
