A pivotal role in the daily grind of a dynamic building company that specialises in bespoke contracting works. Services are offered to clients throughout Queensland. Their tailored skills and innovating solutions recognise them as leaders within their fields. That sounds very impressive. And it is. But that said, this is also a small, hands-on organisation located in Brisbane’s western suburbs where the ambience is easy-going, yet fast paced, interactive and ever changing.
You are an outgoing, emotionally mature, flexible, disciplined, resilient person and you bring both life experience and a history of working successfully in a comparable role for at least a few years. Any knowledge of the construction industry will be welcomed but is not essential.
What you do need to be is a dynamic, down-to-earth individual with great communication skills. Organised, calm and attentive, you’re a natural communicator with a warm phone manner and excellent office skills.
But over and above your cheerful approach and desirable skills-set, will be your willingness to stand up as the office ‘go-to’ that will really count.
Your practice of seeing what needs to be done and automatically pitching in to help will make you a great match to a role where two days are rarely the same. For example, on one day, you may be sourcing quotes from suppliers to facilitate tender opportunities. On another, you may be found stocking the fridge or the stationary cupboard.
This will be a very satisfying role for a disciplined office admin that can take initiative. A friendly yet resilient person with a mature outlook who wants to be a cog in a well-oiled machine and can offer the ‘full office package’ with a broad spread of administrative capabilities.
