Hard North is a local design business specialising in providing sublimated apparel and signage based in Darwin, NT. Operating both online and in-store, our small and tight-knit team creatively strive to bring our customer's concept to life with a can-do attitude.
THE ROLE
The ideal applicant will be someone passionate about working in a local small business, an ultimate team player and thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment. They will have the ability to provide exceptional customer service and organisational skills. The capability to manage multiple orders at the same time and switch directions with ease. This role includes conversing with our graphic designers to provide briefs from customers, manage our project managing program.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
- Provide quality customer service in person, by phone and by email.
- Promptly respond to product/service inquiries and interact with customers in a warm and friendly manner.
- Efficiently complete order forms which display customer's request, then liaises with relevant team members to ensure different aspects of the order are completed accurately.
- Handle cash and card transactions efficiently and accurately, including operating EFTPOS Terminal.
- Liaise with Graphic Designers to ensure the customer's idea and requests can be delivered.
- Experience with Xero accounting program.
- Management of Trello
WHAT SKILLS DO YOU NEED?
This is an exciting fast-paced role that includes tasks across a variety of roles, which means the applicant will need:
- Minimum two years of relevant retail and customer service experience.
- Proficient computer knowledge.
- Passion for customer service and helping customers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and complete tasks while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Friendly and upbeat personality with the ability to work as a part of a team.
- Excellent organisation and administrative skills including the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to operate or learn how to operate EFTPOS Terminal.
Expected Start Date: Mid-April.

This is a full-time/ Part-time position working in a small tight-knit team. Great conditions, 3 to 4 weeks off over Christmas and above award wages for the right person. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4.30 pm.
