We are looking for an experienced income tax expert to fill the role of Office Manager, managing 1-2 of our Southwest Sydney offices.
Job Description:
You will be responsible for providing coaching and mentoring to team members to deliver exceptional service to our clients. You will also be assisting clients with their tax preparation needs yourself and developing strong client relationships.
In addition to this, you will also be conducting training workshops for our Income Tax Course.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive growth in the number of tax returns, volume, contribution margin and labour productivity, in line with the office plan.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to all Associates within their office, to ensure we truly understand our clients’ needs and deliver the right solution.
- Develop a repeat and referral culture by providing a professional service, at all stages of the sales process.
- Promote ‘Specialised Advisory Services’ to add value to the client experience.
- Drive team motivation through effective communication and promotion of targets
- Execute marketing plans including any National programs, develop and execute Local Area Marketing initiatives and community engagement activities.
- Ensure that the office and team members are always presented at the highest standard.
- Conduct training workshops, mark assignments, and support student success for our Income Tax Course.
- Roster associates in line with company directives to suit client needs whilst maintaining office productivity.
- Maintain current tax knowledge by researching tax situations, and attending all training provided by H&R Block.
- Perform all other admin & housekeeping duties as required.
Skills and experience required:
- Previous experience in individual tax return preparation for clients, gained over a number of tax seasons.
- Previous experience delivering training in tax preparation.
- Proven people management experience and ability to set clear direction on office goals and team performance.
- Good analytical skills
- High level of computer literacy
- Proven customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Successful applicants will be required to:
- Be available for a minimum of 38 hours during peak tax season.
- Work evenings and weekends on a roster to meet client demand.
- Undertake 20 hours of annual professional development training per year.
- Travel between offices within District as required (car and licence required).
