About the positions
The Community Development Officer positions provide high level community engagement and capacity building to the community and support functional areas to communicate information relevant to the delivery of Council programs and initiatives. The positions are responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of a variety of Community Development programs and activities in their region.
These positions will work under general direction.
- The salary range for these positions is $84,383.41 - $87,970.19 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
- We have two positions available:
- Community Development Officer - North - is a Permanent Full time position based at our Goombungee administration building.
- Community Development Officer - Emerging - is a Temporary Full time position until June 2025 (maternity leave) based in the Toowoomba CBD.
- Accrue up to 40 hours' flex time to be taken as leave.
- Council vehicle available for work use.
- Active social club – TRC Employee’s Association.

- Employee Assistance Program – free 24 hour nationwide confidential counselling services for employees and their families going through personal or work-related problems.
