This is an entry level role into our Emergency Services team where the successful applicants will receive training and formal education modules covering medical response, emergency response, as well as drug and alcohol testing.The successful completion of your onboarding will result in receiving nationally accredited courses in Certificate IV Health Care, along with Certificate lll in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue. The timeframe to complete this process is flexible and will be based on your existing training, personal and cultural needs.This role will suit currently employed Emergency Service Officers as well as applicants that have experience in ambulance, healthcare, or fire/rescue and are looking to make a transition into a mining sector that values their qualifications and experience.The position is based in Roxby Downs and can be supported as residential, drive-in drive-out (DIDO) or fly-in fly-out (FIFO) on a 7 days on, 7 days off rotating day and night shift roster.About YouYou will be committed to making a positive difference in the health and safety of others, enjoy working outdoors and be comfortable undertaking a range of physical activities during your day.You will have:
- Minimum of C class driver's license (HR licence preferrable)
- Excellent communication skills and interaction experience with personnel, patient's or customer service
- A proactive drive towards continuous improvement
- Ambulance experience and relevant qualifications (Cert IV Healthcare or higher) and/or
- Fire and Rescue experience and relevant qualifications (Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue or Cert 2 in Public Safety or higher)
- The ability to obtain a satisfactory National Police Clearance and Working With Children's Check
- AHPRA Registration (Paramedic)
- Previous/current experience in a similar Emergency Service Officer role
- Previous/current experience in a State Emergency Service role
