Your part in the ongoing success of our department, in supporting frontline services will see you responsible for a variety of work, including, but not limited to:
- Manage the Regional Asset portfolio by reviewing, evaluating and monitoring on the performance including the procurement of and analysis of condition assessment reports of the Fire and Rescue and Rural Fire Services’ allocated assets against key performance indicators.
- Coordinate and deliver planned and unplanned maintenance of the regional allocated assets with respect to stipulated asset (excluding fleet and equipment), maintenance plans and approved departmental Asset Management policy and procedures.
- Actively lead and facilitate the development of the regional minor works project management plans for delivery of commissioned projects, and provide local project delivery oversight in accordance with whole-of-government, and departmental requirements and governance.
- Review and evaluate tenders and contracts, and coordinate quality control, through meeting with stakeholders; reviewing feedback; and disseminating information to ensure best value and project deliverables are achieved.
- Develop and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships as the regional Asset Management point of contact, to promote positive departmental outcomes and ensure service delivery objectives meet departmental objectives and needs.
- Prepare timely and well researched advice, correspondence, presentations, briefings, reports and submissions to support reporting requirements and decision-making process, in accordance with departmental requirements.
- Contribute to the development of Asset Management plans, programs and systems, and policy and procedures, identify issues and provide continuous improvement initiatives and customer service support relating to the delivery of products and services.
- Interpret and apply government, legislative, and departmental policy and procedural requirements to ensure governance and compliance is maintained in delivering all Asset Management activities and advice.
