About our team:
Our Operational Services Team play a crucial role in the organisation where they oversee the training, master rosters and recommend system improvements for our Onboard and Station Customer Service division.
As the Onboard Customer Service Systems Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance, repair and replacement of all aspects of the onboard equipment for Queensland Rail long-distance services.
This includes, procurement, asset tracking, back of house program ownership and ongoing product enhancement.
This is a temporary full-time position based at platform 10 at Roma Street Station until April 2025.

About the role:
• Coordinate the maintenance, repair and replacement of onboard assets, equipment and technology (e.g. Point of Sale equipment, Coffee Machines, EFTPOS Terminals) to maximise useful life, ensuring warranty compliance and suitability for onboard train operations
• Support the maintenance / updates of associated back office software and processes e.g. reconfiguring of EFTPOS machines after any updates and employee issued iPads
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with relevant internal and external service providers e.g. the Onboard and Customer Service, Procurement, Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Rollingstock Engineering teams
• Manage all documentation relevant to the equipment and assets including warranties, test certificates, manuals and maintenance procedures
• Administer and maintain asset tracking tools e.g. spreadsheets
• Work autonomously to conduct problem analysis and achieve a timely resolution
• Assist with the development of training material and training delivery to Onboard and Customer Service Staff. This includes helping the team to define issues with onboard equipment for future maintenance or the replacement of new equipment
• Some travelling will be required on our long-distance train services

To be successful in this role you will be resilient and self-motivated to work autonomously within a fast paced and agile environment. In addition, you will:
• Have previous experience in coordinating equipment maintenance and in maintaining and improving back office programs and asset management programs
• Be a confident communicator who can collaborate, influence change and negotiated across all levels of the business to drive outcomes
• Have the ability to foster and develop strong working relationships across a large organisation with numerous internal and external stakeholders
• Be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and resource planning to meet tight deadlines
• Previous experience in procurement, Eftpos configuration or Point of Sale (POS) machines will be highly regarded
