A leading building products manufacturer with some of the biggest brands is looking to continue their journey towards best practice. With a partnership approach you will develop and own the strategy and provide support to a variety of key stakeholders across the business for their improvement portfolio, providing training and project management expertise.
The Role
- Working intimately with a blue chip organisation, developing and leading their continuous improvement program and implementing this strategy.
- Identify improvement opportunities and then develop plans, drive, support and facilitate the execution of these projects for successful delivery.
- Develop and execute the project improvement pipeline in line with what's been identified by yourself and key stakeholders across the business.
- Coaching, developing and leading staff to establish a culture that supports all aspects of Operational Excellence.
- Educate, coach and facilitate operational expectations, lead change initiatives through managers and supervisors, create a common continuous improvement system and deliver on all CI KPI's and the businesses internal readiness program.
- Work with all levels of the organisation to problem solve issues and develop improvement projects.
- Provide open communication across the business to update people on progress of projects and also successes and challenges to continuously improve.
- Degree qualified in an engineering or manufacturing related field
- Prior experience in using LEAN manufacturing principles (qualifications in Lean six sigma a bonus).
- Significant experience developing and implementing a continuous improvement process / strategy across a large manufacturing environment, ideally working across tier 1 industrial process manufacturing sites.
- Extensive lean strategy development and implementation experience.
- Minimum 5 years and ideally closer to 10 years operational experience within a process manufacturing environment.
- A strong leadership background and skillset, with an ability to coach and influence leaders and operators to deliver excellent results.
- Commercial and collaborative in their style, inclusive in making decisions.
- People and process focused with a high energy approach
