We are looking for an Operational Risk/Safety Manager to join our team, in this permanent, full-time role in our Brisbane head office.
About the role:
As an Operational Risk/Safety Manager, you will implement the Operational Risk Framework to ensure the reduction of risk across the state business units and sustainable business practices that develop and support a “Risk Aware” culture.
Some of your tasks will include:
Participate in the development and implementation of the Operational Risk Framework in the categories of OH&S, environment, business continuity, security and loss prevention, public liability and asset protection, and other areas of general insurance including workers compensation (claims and return to work)
Partner with state based business units to help them consistently identify, assess and control all operational risks through the implementation of systems and processes
Support and advice state based business units to manage operational risks
Engage actively with the Operational Risk Team and contribute to Operational Risk Strategy
Regularly engage with the business unit teams to ensure continuous improvement and acquire current capabilities to manage their operational risks
Implement strategic Operational Risk plans and priorities across state business units in line with Group Operational Risk Strategy
About you:
Diploma/Certificate IV qualifications in Risk/OHS/Environmental Management or equal qualification
Proven experience in development and implementation of OH&S, environment, business continuity and enterprise risk management systems management
Solid track record in construction or asset management
Current knowledge and practical application of construction, OH&S, and environmental legislation
Working knowledge of best practice Risk Management Systems and governance principles
Proven written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop and implement reporting, processes and procedures
