Job Description:
The Operational Team Leader is responsible for planning, organising, allocating and managing the work within the team to deliver designated corporate and business services to SA Government client agencies, and their employees, in accordance with quality service standards that meet established Service Level Determinations and service designs.
The Operational Team Leader will be accountable for the development of their team, understanding the relative effectiveness of the individuals within their team and to improve operational efficiency and business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, plan and co-ordinate the day to day activities of a team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of designated corporate and business services to SA Government client agencies.
- Ensure customer satisfaction is a high priority and customers receive responsive services in accordance with established Service Level Determinations and service designs.
- Provide advice and support to management and staff on complex matters in accordance with established government policies and procedures, legislative requirements and audit regulations.
- Ensure statistical information and reports are produced, collated and analysed on a regular basis to assist in evaluating the efficiency of the team and to inform resource allocation and service improvements.
- Encourage and develop a culture of high performance, professionalism and continuous improvement and identify opportunities and solutions to improve service delivery.
- Encourage and develop a work culture that values collaboration and fosters teamwork.
Skills and Experience:
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks and resources for self and others to ensure work is completed efficiently and effectively.
- Demonstrated record of meeting the expectations and requirements of customers against Service Level Determinations and service designs.
- Possess and promote a commitment to service excellence and the continuous improvement of service standards.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and client groups.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills, including advising management on complex matters.
- Ability to adapt and maintain effectiveness through major change in work tasks or work environment.
Special Conditions:
- Successful applicants will be required to complete an Employment-related Screening Check. This will be initiated by Shared Services SA prior to the successful applicant being offered a contract of employment.
