About the Role:

Woodside are looking for an Operational Technology Cyber Defense Analyst to join their Technical Services team.

The OT Cyber Defense Analyst is an essential member of the Woodside Cyber Team, responsible for detecting and addressing potential OT cyber threats and vulnerabilities to prevent significant impacts on the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of ICS networks, cybersecurity threats, and threat actor tactics. They should also be able to analyze and interpret large volumes of data from diverse sources while prioritizing remediation efforts based on risk.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Key duties and responsibilities include: 

  • Effectively communicate OT and IT security issues to Cyber and OT teams, as well as Senior SOC Analysts
  • Design OT incident response procedures and playbooks
  • Support and analyze security incidents alongside Senior SOC Analysts and OT security personnel
  • Participate in annual tabletop exercises to evaluate incident response plans and playbooks
  • Maintain OT situational awareness through collaboration with CTI partners, and develop remediation plans when necessary
  • Establish OT daily checks consistent with existing Corporate Cyber Security processes
  • Conduct control and vulnerability assessments, identify weaknesses, and recommend remedial actions to improve existing controls
  • Analyze and assess new OT threats and security alerts, proposing appropriate remedial actions

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field
  • Experience in risk management, threat identification, and vulnerability mitigation
  • Proficiency in ICS environments, network tools, and technologies
  • Familiarity with project management and leadership principles
  • SANS certifications such as GICSP or GRID highly desired
  • Vendor-specific security certifications preferred
  • Effective communication of complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications, software, and system configuration and management
  • 1-2 years of operational experience in Cyber, IT, Comms, or Digital sectors
