You could be one of our 2700 committed team members who are up to the challenge.About the roleThe Project Manager, Operational Technology works at the forefront of innovation for the Victorian transport and heavy asset sector. This is a leadership role within our Network Development Asset and Maintenance Group, managing skilled Project Engineers who deliver enhancements to the railway experience in Victoria.Combining strategic oversight with the thrill of tangible, impactful work your efforts help keep Victoria on the move. Our projects are crucial to the timely delivery of significant maintenance works. Beyond upgrades and renewals, you and your team ensure the reliability and safety of the network in a dynamic, live operational setting.Key Accountabilities include:

• Develop and manage all aspects of project engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues.
• Establish work packages as a Works Package Leader and delegate packages to project management resources within the team and support functions.
• Ensure all required internal and external approvals for projects are achieved within specified timeframes (inclusive of all statutory permits and approvals).
• Ensure interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs are addressed are met.

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a similar discipline.
• Experience in delivering Operational Technology projects that involve deploying CCTV networks, upgrading radios.
• Project Management Experience with an IT background from a heavy asset environment is advantageous.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience at both internal, external, and various levels.
• Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership, and human rights.

Technology based Project Management experience within a heavy asset or transport environment will be highly regarded, as will experience managing radio telecommunications systems using Zetrion.In addition to free Myki travel, we offer:
