FLEXIBLE HOURS: Preferred hours are 9:30am-2:30pm, 4 days per week, with 5 hours flexible emergency management.

Overview:
The Outpost Inc. is a food relief charity dedicated to serving the community of Geelong, ensuring that no one goes hungry into the night. We are seeking a dynamic, task-oriented, problem solver to oversee the coordination of our services, operations, and uplift our organisation with a big vision for the future.
Our ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, a passion for serving the community, and the ability to work independently. This role will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our organisation and have a meaningful front-facing impact in the community and with stakeholders.
Outpost Operation hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Monday to Sunday (Nights): 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Office Management: Efficiently manage and respond to all inquiries, uphold governance initiatives, manage facilities, and coordinate website and social infrastructure.
Roster Coordination and Onboarding: Manage scheduling and coordination of volunteers, conduct interviews, oversee onboarding and induction programs, and ensure compliance with WWCC requirements.
Food Provision: Coordinate food donations, oversee receiving and storage of food items, manage procurement of food packaging materials, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Public Relations and Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between The Outpost and the community, cultivate relationships with donors and partners, and represent The Outpost at meetings.
Duties as Directed by the Executive Board: Collaborate with the executive board to implement strategic initiatives, fulfill administrative tasks, and address operational challenges.
Grants Writing: Research and identify potential grant opportunities, write grant proposals, and submit applications to secure funding for food relief programs.
Strategic Initiatives Implementation: Work closely with the Board to develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at expanding the reach and impact of food relief programs.
About you:
Your experience may be varied, but essential criteria includes strong organisational and communication skills, passion for serving the community, ability to work independently, non-judgmental disposition, collaborative stakeholder management, ability to multitask, and experience in volunteer management and/or nonprofit administration is desirable.
