Fortron Automotive Treatments, a globally recognised brand in the automotive industry that specialise in manufacturing and distribution of a comprehensive range of automotive treatments and workshop service equipment is looking for a part-time Operations Coordinator to join the team.
As a result of growth in the business, this is a newly created position that will provide support to the Operations Manager to control and manage inventory whilst ensuring all compliance needs for the business are being met.
Responsibilities will include:-
- Manage inventory levels and ensure that any shortages are addressed in a timely manner to avoid any disruption in workflows.
- Purchasing of raw materials, packaging and labels.
- Inspect condition of tools and equipment and arrange scheduled servicing.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing and maintain good relationships with external stakeholders.
- Schedule stock takes and assist with counts and investigation of variances.
- Invoicing of all deliveries dispatched from warehouse.
- Processing stock movements between all locations.
- Support the Quality Manager to manage the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Participate in the development of company policies, procedures, goals and objectives that support the company’s mission and vision.
- Schedule and conduct internal process audits.
- Develop and maintain operational processes and workflows to ensure that resources are used efficiently.
- Identify and address operational problems and inefficiencies and report to Operations Manager with recommended solutions.
- Ensuring all product Safety Data Sheets are maintained and updated.
Skills & Experience required:-
- Previous experience in a warehouse administration environment preferred but not essential.
- Attention to detail with ability to organise, prioritise and complete tasks efficiently.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience with MYOB preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Understanding of quality assurance management.
- Knowledge of Work Health & Safety Act.
This is a part-time role 25-30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the working hours to be negotiated.
