About the role
To support continuous growth and further drive the BDO vision within the Audit service line a new opportunity has been created for an Operations Manager to join the team. This role would be a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong administration or Audit background looking to transition or take the next step in their career.
This is a key role that will work alongside the Partners to effectively manage and improve the day-to-day operations of the Audit Service Line. This will be achieved by leading and managing the implementation and ongoing review of change initiatives, as well as collaborating with other internal stakeholders to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of processes within the service line
What you will need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience working in a similar role or in a high-functioning executive assistant/administration role.
- Previous experience with project management would be desirable.
- Effective relationship building skills with the ability to communicate and work with all stakeholders both internal and external.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
- A positive attitude with the willingness to learn.
- Previous experience working within Professional services would be highly regarded but not essential.
- High proficiency of working with systems and software
Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Provide input to support the Audit Partners in identifying strategic and operational priorities of the Audit Service Line
- Supporting internal focus groups by setting agenda’s and taking minutes to drive change and ensure task completion.
- Support and actively participate in related process improvements, platform optimisation and administrative tasks associated with resource management.
- Provide support and oversee financial management which may include coordinating of budgets, APS charge rates, capacity and other finance related activities.
- Supporting service line audit quality reporting and monitoring activities
- Working alongside the People and Culture team to lead initiatives for Audit such as the Vacationer and Graduate programs and onboarding of new team members.
