Form of workThe Role & Responsibilities: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the logistics and site operations in Darwin. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing both warehouse activities and distribution processes, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the site.
- Develop and execute state-level logistics strategies and initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Coordinate and manage the transportation and delivery of goods across the state.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the entire site, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and distribution.
- Lead and motivate a team of logistics professionals to achieve operational targets and maintain high standards of performance.
- Implement and optimise workflows to maximise efficiency and minimise costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety throughout the site.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective supply chain operations.
- Prepare and analyse reports on site performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the logistics industry, with a focus on food and beverage handling.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in warehousing and distribution.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
