How will I Help?
This is a parental leave cover role for a period circa 12 months. The Operations Manager role supports the National Manager, Operations of Specialised Lending which encompasses Trade & Invoice Finance, Risk, and Operations. The role will be responsible for the management, training, and development of the Operations teams as well as effectively managing the service delivery of a significantly sized portfolio of high value clients.
One of the primary responsibilities of the role will be to manage existing processes and functions within Invoice Finance (IF) Operations be ensuring a healthy balance and approach is achieved between risk mitigation and providing high quality service to customers. You will also be involved in critical projects within the IF product space to support ongoing process improvement to ensure
Additional responsibilities include:
Work in conjunction with State leaders to ensure SLA’s are being met
Continuous focus on coaching opportunities as well as defined training and development programs are in place
Manage all reporting requirements for multi brand risk management
Prepare and generate regular exception reports
Prepare and collate monthly Risk reports
Ensure business continuity requirements are up to date and in line with the risk management framework

What do I need?
To be successful you will have the following:
Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, accounting and commerce or related discipline.
5-7 years’ experience in business lending related roles in financial services industry, ideally with experience in Invoice Finance and/or Trade Finance
Management experience
Previous experience with P&L management is advantageous
Capacity for numerical and analytical thinking and functioning
Well-developed literacy and numeracy skills are required as is competency in MS Word and Excel (or equivalent) to an intermediate level.
Communication, networking and coaching skills
Influencing and relationship building skills
