About the role
The Operations Manager (OM) role is to lead, collaborate, oversee and coordinate relevant operational day-to-day activities and personnel. The role will have a number of direct reports and OM will promote a positive safety culture, open communication and innovation within the team.
The role will directly report to CEO and requires alignment with organizational objectives and strategic planning/focuses. A strong focus of the role is to promote a premium service delivery to established and new clients, whilst supporting growth of Franmarine's service capability and team.
The Operations Manager will collaborate with various team members to optimize processes, streamline operations, and implement best practices to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing clear direction and regular communication on operational requirements to relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Promotion of safety, innovation and collaboration of team
- Overseeing the day to day running of the company’s operations ensuring alignment to FUS safety, legislative and organizational requirements.
- Active involvement in strategic planning with GM and CEO to support FUS operations and growth.
- Primary point of contact for Contract Management. Ensuring timely and proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders relevant to contractual obligations. Risk identification and communication to senior management where required.
- Pivotal point of reference and support for the Operations Team direct reports which can include but not limited to (reporting staff will be based on regional requirements): Operations Superintendent, Vessel Manager, Project Manager, Operations Administration Manager, Workshop Manager and other relevant team members.
- Ensuring works are carried out to the highest of standard, promotion of a strong safety culture in line with Diving regulations and standards.
- Ensuring a proactive approach to management of appropriate resources people, plant and equipment are available and fit for purpose in line with project and business requirements.
- Training, development and mentorship of direct reports
- Ensuring the highest level of service to cliental. This includes oversite of project delivery cycle in conjunction with direct reports, meeting contractual obligations and KPI’s.
- Proactive sourcing of opportunities and supporting quoting/tendering
- Completion of Staff evaluations with P&C support where required.
- Identifying training needs of internal staff to promote safe and best practices in job role and to provide professional development opportunities.
About you?
- Strong experience in Commercial Diving, relevant diving qualification
- Relevant qualifications in Business or Project Management highly desirable
- Knowledge of Diving Industry legislations, standards and HSEQ requirements relevant to operations and personnel
- Driven and motivated to support teams and organisational growth
- Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong leader committed to development of team
- Exceptional communicator and ability to liaise with external stakeholders
- Committed to delivery of premium level of service to clients and proactive approach to client engagement
- Financial acumen
- Foster culture of growth and support to team and organisational objectives
