They are seeking a self-motivated and proactive individual to fulfil the role of Operations Manager. Reporting to General Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the crane and yard operations of this growing business.
Position Overview
As the Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of crane operations within the organisation. This includes coordinating and optimising crane activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing personnel, and implementing efficient processes to meet project requirements. The Crane Operations Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and efficiency in crane operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day crane and yard operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards and company policies.
- Coordinate crane activities with project managers, construction teams, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the sales team to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and ensure timely service delivery.
- Lead and mentor the operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork.
- Develop and implement standardised operating procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications and experience:
- Proven experience in crane operations and management within the construction and infrastructure industries is highly regarded.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management is highly desirable (or equivalent work experience within the industry).
- In-depth knowledge of crane technology and equipment.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
