The Role:
The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of this business's technical team. They are responsible for overseeing various aspects of operations, from invoicing and quality assurance to team communication and project planning. This role is vital in maintaining high-quality service delivery, achieving financial goals, making senior decisions in alignment with core values, and ultimately ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving conflicts effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Resolve team and client challenges with a positive and solutions-oriented approach.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to optimize processes and enhance efficiency.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for service technician work.
- Provide on-site support to address technician challenges and make timely decisions to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage urgent situations and requests to maintain smooth operations.
- Collaborate with the quoting team to ensure accurate and quality-aligned quotes.
- Monitor on-site technical teams to enforce quality assurance standards and maintain service quality.
- Conduct regular KPI discussions with on-site teams to evaluate performance and set goals.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and implement necessary process changes.
- Provide quotes for small jobs, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
- Collaborate on fleet management to ensure efficient operations.
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process for new team members.
- Address technician inquiries throughout the day to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Plan and manage small projects effectively, coordinating resources and timelines.
- Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills.

- Previous experience in operations management or a related HVAC management role (if purely operations, seek a relatable industry to HVAC).

- Strong understanding of processes and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage budgets and resources.
