Join the International Table Tennis Federation - Oceania (ITTF-Oceania) and lead the charge in elevating table tennis across the Oceania region. As the Continental Federation overseeing Olympic, Commonwealth Games, and Paralympic sports, ITTF-Oceania plays a crucial role in the global table tennis landscape. We are on the lookout for a dynamic leader to drive the development and raise the profile of table tennis in this exciting opportunity, acting as the strategic interface between 24 Member Associations (MAs) and the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
The main objectives of ITTF-Oceania include:
- Promote Table Tennis in Oceania: Foster sport growth and administration.
- Collaborative Stakeholder Engagement: Work with key stakeholders including Member Associations, ONOC and other agencies to advance table tennis in Oceania
- Participation Growth: Develop inclusive programs to increase player base.
- Funding and Governance: Secure funding, oversee tournaments, and ensure good governance.
- Global Representation and Reporting: Represent Oceania globally and report professionally to key stakeholders.

LOCATION:
The position will be Remote and Flexible – with the ability to legally travel within the Oceania region.
REPORTING TO:
ITTF-Oceania, a member-based organisation has national bodies as its members and is funded significantly by the ITTF with a split reporting function to the President of ITTF-Oceania on a day-to-day basis and to the ITTF through monthly reports and meetings.
WORKING HOURS:
This is a full-time position (38 hours per week) with a three-month probationary period. Given the nature of this role and the sports industry, occasional evening and weekend work will be required. ITTF-Oceania adheres to a time off in lieu policy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contract Management:
Manage relationships with:
- Event specialists
- Marketing coordinator
- Contract Secretary
- Outsourced Accounting and Payroll
- Outsourced Legal Counsel
- Strategic Collaboration:
- Collaborate on developing and implementing strategic plans with ITTF and ITTF-Oceania leadership.
- Board Support:
- Serve ITTF-Oceania Board and Sub-Committees as needed.
- Resource Optimization:
- Optimize resources with Member Associations for sustainable table tennis development.
- Program Implementation:
- Implement programs to boost participation and capabilities across the Continent.
- Financial Management:
- Manage the organization's financial aspects.
- Event Delivery:
- Ensure successful delivery of approximately 2 continental events per annum.
- Program Oversight:
- Oversee Smash Down Barriers program, social media activities, and other duties as required by ITTF and ITTF-Oceania leadership.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Leadership:
- Proven leadership in managing remote contractors.
- Sports Development:
- Background in grassroots sports development.
- Governance Expertise:
- Expertise in enhancing organizational governance policies and procedures.
- Financial Management:
- Strong financial management skills.
- Strategic Collaboration:
- Collaborative strategic planning and stakeholder relationship building experience.
- Cultural Knowledge:
- Desirable knowledge of Melanesian, Micronesian and Polynesian cultures.
