The Role
Seeking an experienced Operations Manager to Join our team in our Asset Care (formally a part of ALS Industrial) Power Services division. We're seeking a dynamic individual to spearhead the day-to-day management of our Power team, ensuring smooth operations and fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
The Operations Manager will be based in our Cameron Park office and will report to the Business Manager – Power.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Be the driving force behind technical, human resource, sales, and work coordination efforts.
- Personnel Management: Develop and grow staff, fostering a culture of unity and excellence.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to personnel safety, radiation safety, quality standards, and environmental regulations.
- Resource Allocation: Coordinate power employee movements, manage staffing schedules, and allocate resources for project execution.
- Training and Development: Conduct regular workforce skill assessments, oversee training programs, and facilitate team development plans.
- Financial Oversight: Review and approve power team purchasing, invoices, quotes, and other financial transactions. As well as assisting with drafting and submitting cost estimates and proposals for projects.
- Miscellaneous Tasks: Oversee security systems, fleet vehicle management, and act as part of the First Aid and Fire Warden teams.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Diploma in Project Management or similar
- Diploma in WHS or similar.
- Previous managerial or supervisory experience in testing, inspection, or asset care services.
- Proven track record of effective personnel management and team development.
- Strong leadership skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and strong analytical skills.
