ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Mana Civil is a dynamic and growing family-owned construction company specializing in formwork, steel, and concrete services. We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to join our team as we embark on new projects and accelerate our growth trajectory. This is a unique opportunity for a driven and entrepreneurial individual to play a pivotal role in shaping our operational strategies and processes while contributing to our company's growth.

As our Operations Manager, you will oversee project planning, execution, and team management, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your strong leadership skills will be crucial in building rapport with clients, pursuing new business opportunities, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence within the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Strategic Alignment and Revenue Growth:
    • Collaborate with the Directors to align operational strategies with revenue goals and market demands.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the company's growth strategy through market analysis and networking.
  2. Project Management and Execution:
    • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of projects from inception to completion, ensuring project requirements are met on time, within scope, and budget.
    • Conduct site visits and inspections throughout the project lifecycle, collaborating with clients to assess project scope, identify potential challenges, and provide solutions.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, budgets, and progress reports.
  3. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Responsible for performance management of the team, monitoring attendance, productivity, and quality of work while maintaining a culture of accountability and excellence.
    • Foster a motivational work environment that encourages innovation, recognizes achievements, and promotes professional growth.
    • Develop and implement a strategic hiring plan that aligns with the company's growth objectives and cultural values.
  4. Operational Efficiency and Compliance:
    • Identify business process improvement opportunities and develop and implement improvement initiatives that result in operational efficiency, enhanced quality of project delivery, and cost reduction.
    • Monitor working capital, specifically inventory of tools, materials, and equipment.
    • Ensure the effective use of and scheduled maintenance of fleet equipment.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies. Conduct regular safety observations and provide the team with communication, training feedback, and direction for continual safe performance.
  5. Collaboration and Innovation:
    • Oversight and collaboration during the preconstruction, estimating, and proposal development process for new and existing business opportunities.

CAPABILITIES, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of experience in managing construction projects and teams within budgetary and time constraints.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, significant experience in a related position that provides the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams towards achieving project and organizational goals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, maintain solid relationships with associates, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated competency in driving process improvements and implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Solid business acumen with an understanding of financial principles and the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools, with the ability to adapt to new technologies as required.
  • Understanding of construction industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Hungry for a challenge and the growth that comes with it.
