This Australian product company is a leader in people management and is seeking an experienced Operations Manager who is well-verse in manufacturing or production processes. An Operations Manager who possesses both strong strategic and analytical skills and can communicate with and relate to current employees.
The Role:
Working in a highly regulated and unionised manufacturing environment this role will liaise with the HR team to ensure the policies and procedures align with the most up to date legislation. You will execute an effective strategy to support growth goals and target whilst ensuring the safety of your staff and the integrity of the product.
- Ensure product quality and integrity
- Be an effective coach and deliver training strategies throughout the business
- Lead key business projects - with a focus on production facilities
- Oversee all operations within production floor
- Manage recruitment and training of staff
- Ensure safety requirements are met
- Coordinate launches of new products
- Consistent reporting
- Ensure sourcing, manufacture and distribution of products meets the highest environmental standards
- Monitor market competitors
Coming from a product manufacturing background or very similar.
- 5 + years experience within the manufacturing industry
- Strong desire to have integrity with product quality
- Strong desire to ensure safety protocols are followed and adhered to
- Strong leadership skills - previously led a team
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Desirable - Material Requirement Planning software (preferably MFG Pro)
- Keen eye for market trends
- International travel may be required
