Due to an internal promotion, Pacific Hoseflex has an immediate start opportunity for an Operations Managerto join our Team based at our Burleigh Heads Branch on the sunny Gold Coast.

We are a digitalised business that invests back into technology and have 3 CNC computerised laths, 4 manual lathes, 6 welding bay facilities, digital crimpers for making PTFE hose, rubber hoses, code hoses, we have a dedicated in-house pressure testing department with the capabilities of producing pressure graphs and certificates.
How You’ll Make a Difference
This position leads and monitors the QLD Production Department through efficient and effective schedule and production management methodologies. This role is supported by the National Operations Manager and is suited to a driven individual who wants to rise to new challenges and be rewarded for their efforts.
Working closely with the National Operations Manager and the Production Team, your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Monitoring/assessing operational activity and identifying opportunities for increased volume
- Effective planning to optimise utilisation and productivity
- Create a culture of accountability through performance metrics and KPIs
- Drive continuous improvement
- Ensure the departmental structure and roles within it are adequate to meet operational needs
- Ensure strategies and concepts to improve efficiencies are raised and implemented
- Ensure a safe workplace is maintained and WHS procedures are enforced
About you
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- A minimum 2 years’ experience in production coordination/supervision/management
- A background in Fabrication or similar experience
- Lean Manufacturing experience (6 Sigma)
- Experience with ERP or Enterprise software including stock and job management
- Experience with Quality Management Systems including ISO activities
- People management experience with the ability to lead and motivate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Results oriented, self-driven and extremely reliable
- Ability to take the lead and make decisions but also have the ability to delegate
