About the role
Situated just 35 minutes from Roma, you’ll enjoy the convenient location of ACC’s Brindley Park Property Group. This large-scale Wagyu/Angus stud and Commercial Backgrounding Operation is an aggregation of 10 properties spanning over 70,000 acres and carrying up to 9000 head.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Southern Breeding, the Operations Manager – Brindley Park Property Group leads a crew of about 10 full-time team members. With expert support internally, this rewarding role is responsible for managing the day to day livestock and operational activity, P&L analysis and management, operational reporting, the wellbeing and development of our people, the welfare and productivity of our livestock, sustainability of our resources and the environment, as well as ensuing the maintenance and efficient utilisation of the assets and infrastructure.

About you
This is an ideal role for a passionate self-starter, who wants to take ownership and lead a team in continuing to make a valuable contribution to ACC’s integrated supply chain. You’re seeking a challenging role that builds on your existing livestock & property management skills and experience, including:
- Previous exposure to specialist cattle breeding programs and practices (artificial breeding, AI, embryo transfer & genetics etc)
- Full commitment to best practice livestock handling and animal welfare practices
- Effective team management & leadership skills
- Ability to proactively manage safe place of work
- Practical understanding of compliance & biosecurity obligations
- Knowledge of sustainable land management / pasture practices
- Ability to understand & interpret data to make informed & accurate decisions
- Sound written & numeracy skills
- Sound computer literacy
- Manual Drivers Licence
