About the Role
This full-time position, based at our Minto office, is responsible for our architectural operations including properly managing and performing all powder-coating and sublimation related activities in alignment with company, customer and international quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Promote a safe work environment and enforce safety principles.
- Oversee Architectural Operations department (Powder-coating and Sublimation) for quality and productivity.
- Maintain equipment, monitor chemicals, temperature, and application processes across all lines
- Read and interpret Technical Data Sheets for proper application.
- Drive continuous improvement and lead in an active role toward improving manufacturing methods for production efficiency and quality enhancement.
- Supervise and coordinate staff activities, including hiring and training.
- Analyze workforce utilization and plant layout to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Resolve workflow issues, serving as a resource for problem resolution.
- Estimate production times, staffing, and costs for management decisions.
- Educate and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Schedule department operations to meet internal and external customer needs efficiently.
- Collaborate with product development and engineering for process improvement strategies and alternatives.
- Collaborate with other management for effective production processes.
- Coordinate with suppliers for product specifications and purchases
- Stay updated on new developments in powder coating technology and standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of five years of leadership experience in manufacturing, with a focus on improving processes, equipment, and team performance.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral, with team members, supervisors, and customers.
- Proven track record in implementing quality programs and processes.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Knowledgeable in powder coating systems, including equipment, application methods, hanging techniques, chemical cleaning, drying ovens, and curing processes is preferred but not essential.
- Proficient in all paint applications, prepping procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Prior experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance, including troubleshooting malfunctions is preferred but not essential.
- Manufacturing ERP system experience is preferred but not essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
