We are actively recruiting for hands-on and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our South Australia concrete plants. As an integral member of our operations, you will lead a team consisting of Plant Supervisors & a Concrete Support Manager, ensuring all financial, volume and quality targets are met in line with safety, budget and customer expectations.
Your day will involve:
- Continuously promote a safe system of operation in the workplace with an emphasis on Zero Harm.
- Maintain positive and productive working relationships with all stakeholders in order that the goals of the business are achieved.
- In consultation with Sales, ensure that Production plans are discussed and agreed to maximise operational and sales alignment
- Manage team members to achieve superior business performance
- Budget process: generate, manage, monitor and report on budget performance and performance against set targets
We are seeking a supportive individual who can demonstrate:
- Extensive Construction industry exposure, preferable in Concrete
- Strong experience in a leadership role, preferably overseeing multiple sites with competing priorities
- Ability to manage, influence and build rapport with stakeholders from a variety of functions to effectively manage projects
- Success in the development and delivery of sustainable cost control and efficiency improvement programs desirable
- A proven ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to problems
- Ability to develop and maintain disciplined processes through the concrete division
