Join a multinational manufacturing company as their Operations Manager, joining the team in Southwest Sydney on a permanent basis in an exciting leadership role.
Your new role
In your new role as Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the DC Manager to lead the operations team, driving a culture of high performance to strive for delivery in full and the highest level of customer service.
- Project management of strategic initiatives to improve end-to-end supply chain operations, identifying and implementing improvements, and supporting the teams to develop the overall business.
- Creating strong relationships with key stakeholders across both operations and the wider business, communicating all key information to stakeholders across multiple levels.
- Driving the teams to meet KPIs with respect to output, inventory control metrics, and delivery schedules, mentoring and training team members, performance managing where required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong experience within people leadership roles in the logistics space, with demonstrated understanding of inventory control, warehousing, and end-to-end supply chain management.
- Proven background in managing projects within a distribution centre (i.e., warehouse layout, LEAN, automation), with relevant qualifications highly regarded, with knowledge of OH&S procedures.
- Excellent technical skillset with ERP/WMS systems exposure and implementation knowledge highly regarded, with working knowledge of improvement methodologies (LEAN, Six Sigma etc.) preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with refined communication skills, able to influence across a diverse range of stakeholders.
