About the role:
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Yard hand in our Insurance Write off division at our site based in Altona. This position is responsible for providing attention to detail with the highest level of accuracy, care, and quality service to our customers. This position also involves assisting in all aspects of the logistics business.
We have different roles within our Operations teams with a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited, to:
- Locating and moving vehicles on the loading pad for buyer pick up and also moving inventory into stock.
- Completing routine stock takes and counting inventory as required.
- Fulfilling gatehouse logistics and exiting of vehicles
- Assisting customers with drop off and collection of goods, personal items and vehicles.
- From time to time assist fellow team members in our passenger/light vehicle division.
- General yard duties and management.
- Stocktake of assets and recording location movements of vehicles.
About you:
- Strong commitment to Safety.
- Willing to undergo background checks (Police and Work Rights) and a pre-employment medical (including a drug and alcohol test) as part of the recruitment process. Please note: we also conduct random drug and alcohol tests onsite.
- Some knowledge or interest in the car insurance industry would be advantageous.
- Ability to follow a process and carry out work in an independent manner.
- Happy to work in a team and autonomously.
- This role is working predominantly outdoors so will need to be comfortable working outside for long periods of time.
- Basic computer skills.
