We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Operations Quality Manager to lead our Quality Control Team. Located in our West Footscray Manufacturing Plant this on site Permanent Full Time position is responsible for providing excellent leadership to a small team of Quality Control Chemists, managing the quality control processes and requirements as well as liaising directly with key stakeholders across the plant.
As the Operations Quality Manager you will:
- Effectively lead the site Quality Control team through setting and achieving goals, coaching and mentoring, learning and development and leading from the front
- Analyse and communicate site Quality results, reporting on trends and ensuring that quality targets are met
- Oversight and review of raw materials testing, paint batches, reworks and environmental samples to ensure accuracy
- Lead customer complaint investigations and provide reports.
In order to be considered for this position you must have:
- A Degree in Chemistry or Science is essential
- Demonstrable recent management experience
- A comprehensive knowledge of Quality Control processes
- Solid experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably with chemicals
- Sound knowledge of laboratory processes and instrumentation
- Effective time management skills and prioritisation
- Experience with ISO 9001 compliance, including internal auditing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with good computer skills.
