About You
As an Order Management Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of customer IT hardware orders. You will lead a team of Order Management Specialists, provide guidance, and oversee daily operations to meet customer satisfaction and business goals. You will be a results-oriented individual with a passion for leadership, Order Management and customer service.
What you will do in the role
- Lead, mentor, support and manage a team of Order Management Specialists with:
- workload to ensure targets are met and customer satisfaction is achieved
- training requirements for new starters and providing support to perform competently and confidently
- flexible work arrangements, ensuring performance levels are maintained
- leave approvals
- monitoring performance management and development
- employment relations issues
- fostering high morale, respect and cohesiveness amongst the team
- Enter and process incoming orders via EDI, web portal and e-mail
- Follow vendor bid processes
- Take calls, respond to emails and process requests in a timely manner to meet business SLAs
- Resolve any issues and/or escalate to the National Inside Sales Manager where appropriate
- Identify opportunities for process and procedural improvements
- Collaborate with our business units to provide the best solution for our customers
What you will need to succeed in the role
Required
- Leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to lead by example
- People management skills, including approachability, compassion, assertiveness and lateral thinking
- Proven experience in Order Management of a similar role
- Initiative and enthusiasm, with willingness and aptitude to learn new procedures and product information
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise work, to meet with company and customer expectations
- Strong understanding of order processing procedures (e.g. ordering, receipting, invoicing, returns and payments)
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate MS Office literacy and proficiency with ERP applications
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work as a team and foster a positive team culture
- Customer service and solution focused
Desired
- Experience with EDI / vendor portals
- Knowledge of the relevant market including customers, suppliers and competitors
