What you'll be doing:
In this role, you will support the delivery of highly complex transformation programs and projects in Operations demonstrating competency as it relates to a portfolio-level OCM Management, adopting best practice (the VA Leading Change Framework) to improve the chances of transformational success, and accelerate value where possible.
Working alongside the Director, Transformation (Operations), the Operations Transformation Team, the Ops Leadership Team and the Head of Organisational Change Management. You will work very closely, and partner with, the Project and Program Managers, Initiative Owners, Initiative Leads, Transformation Managers and Operations Leaders. You will also interface with People Business Partners (HR), consultants and others working across Operations and the broader enterprise.
Your focus is on sustainably transforming Operations to become a more efficient, commercial and highly productive and engaging division through the successful delivery of the transformational three-year plan. The role is extremely dynamic involving oscillating between hands-on, delivery focus as well as at a much higher, strategic and programmatic level. Providing timely, insight-driven and well thought-through change management advice and support to the Director, Transformation (Operations) and other Operational Excellence stakeholders.
You'll be great in this role if you have:
- Extensive experience with leading and managing change at a business or programmatic level.
- Hands on experience in planning and executing complex change programs.
- You can determine the change complexity of programs/initiatives and can recommend “right-sized” effort, capability & resourcing requirements to set delivery up for success
- Strong leadership capabilities, both in terms of self-leadership, leading others as you interface with senior leaders, stakeholders and teams
- Certification in Organisational Change Management such as PROSCI
- Experienced in using a range of tools such to support engagement, communication and planning
- Ability to work creatively in a constrained environment where “best practice” and maturity is still evolving
- Strong ability to remain focused on delivering to the plan but remaining flexible and adaptive to change as required
