ABV Care, Calvary Christian College and Eaton College - situated in Mount Louisa, Townsville - operate as ministries of Calvary Christian Church which was founded in 1924 and now meets in eight different locations across Australia and South Africa.

ABV Care is a government accredited and licensed outside-of-school-hours program. Our Team are committed to providing an excellent level of care and supervision in order to support the busy life styles of our families.

ABV Care offers Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care that is open to all students in Townsville, Prep – Year 7. The children attending ABV Care are primarily from Calvary Christian College - which is located on the same site - and as such, ABV Care supports the mission of the College to offer excellent opportunities for students to reach their full potential intellectually, physically, spiritually, and socially. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Educational Leader to join the ABV Care Team on a part-time basis beginning in April 2024.

When you join ABV Care you will be part of a supportive and collaborative Team that works together to create a nurturing and successful holistic learning environment. The role of Educational Leader is responsible for leading the development and implementation of an educational program in the service, collaborating with and supporting Educators to ensure that children’s learning and development are guided by the relevant and approved learning outcomes and are in keeping with the values, principles, policies and broad organisational objectives and to ensure required accreditation is maintained for continued operation.

As a part-time (35 hours per week) Educational Leaderat Calvary ABV Care, you will receive an above-Award hourly rate of $37.77, and a range of great benefits, including:

To be successful in this role, you will have a current Working with Children Check Blue Card (Paid) and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.

As an Educational Leader at Calvary ABV Care, you will also have:

• Demonstrated experience working with Primary-aged children.
• Proven and effective leadership skills.
• Exemplary professional manner, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Proficient level of computer literacy with proven capacity in MS Office Suite, and other software/programs in common use for education.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis Management and Asthma Management Certification.
