About the role
Leading a team of6 Educators,you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
*Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
*Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
*Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
*Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration
This opportunity requires commitment during the school term and holiday program, Monday to Friday, as a guide: Before School Care (7:00 AM - 9:00 AM), and After School Care (2:00 PM - 6:00 PM), and administration hours to total 38 hours per week.
Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
*Leadership and team management, with the abilityto implement behavioral management strategies, and create a supportive environment for both staff and children.
*Minimum 2 to 3 years' Childcare or relevant equivalent industry knowledge and experience preferably in an OSHC environment
*Mentoring skills and a passion for trainingnew staff members
*Strong administrative skills
*Strong and clear communicationin order to build positive relationships with children, parents and staff
*Adaptability, flexibility and problem solving!
*A current national police check
*A current Working with Children's Check
*Valid Australian work rights
*Diploma or higher qualification in a relevant area of study is preferable
