We are currently seeking a part-time Legal Secretary for three days per week.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the legal industry and proficiency in using LEAP software. As a Legal Secretary, you will play a crucial role in supporting a legal team and ensuring the smooth operation of the office.
Responsibilities:
- Manage electronic and paper files efficiently, ensuring organisation and accessibility.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing assistance and maintaining professional communication.
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
- Draft correspondence, including letters, emails, and legal documents, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Prepare and file legal documents, particularly in Family Law cases, adhering to court requirements and deadlines.
- Track multiple deadlines associated with case filings, hearings, and other legal matters.
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role within the legal industry is a must.
- Proficiency in using LEAP software or similar legal practice management software.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
