We are currently seeking a full-time Painting Trades Worker to join our team. As a Painting
Trades Worke, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful completion of painting
projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces by removing old paint, filing holes and cracks, and cleaning
surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion of new paint
Smooth surfaces through sanding and apply undercoat or primer as necessary
Apply paint or other finishes using a variety of methods including brushes, rollers, or
sprayers, while paying attention to detail
Take necessary precautions to protect surrounding areas from paint splatter or
damage
Perform routine checks and conduct minor repairs on equipment
Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines at all times, including proper use of PPE
and safe handing of materials
Mix paints to required colours
Work collaboratively with other team members, providing support and assistance as
needed to achieve project goals
Conduct inspection of completed work to ensure adherence to quality standards and
client specifications
Qualifications and Skills
At least 3 years of relevant experience
Relevant trade education or experience in lieu
Proficiency in surface preparation techniques
Strong knowledge of painting tools and equipment
Excellent understanding of safety procedures and regulations
Effective communication skills
Licence/Certification:
White Card (Preferred)
Working with Children Check (Preferred)
Work Safely at Heights (Preferred)
EWP Ticket (Preferred)
