This is a great opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Paraplanner to join our Financial Planning business located in Mackay, QLD.

Brown & Bird Financial Planning has been offering quality Financial Planning solutions to clients for over 20 years. Our head office located in Mackay is seeking a Para-Planner to become an integral part of our team.
The Position
Working closely with our Financial Planners, assisting them in all facets of our activities including developing financial plans and liaising with clients. This position will suit someone in this industry and with training, education and experience can lead to a financial advisers position.
You will work in a small, inclusive team to support our qualified and experienced financial advisers. You will be responsible for:
- Preparing compliance documentation such as Statements of Advice, Record of Advice and Investment Performance Review Reports;
- Analysing client information and assisting financial advisers in developing clear Financial Planning strategies specifically tailored to each client;
- Undertaking data modelling and scenario comparisons to support strategic recommendations; and
- Liaising with clients to obtain further information when required
The Person:
We are seeking an energetic and motivated person with Paraplanning experience, technical knowledge and strong analytical ability. You will also have:
- Studying toward a degree of Financial Planning or equivalent to satisfy RG146 requirements would be ideal;
- A demonstrated ability to prepare clear and structured reports and recommendations (which may cover retail and self-managed super funds, aged care, social security, taxation issues, insurance and investment selection);
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Experience in Xplan Financial Planning software (highly regarded);
- Advanced computer literacy including the use of Microsoft Office;
- High attention to detail; and
- Confidence and flexibility to be able to act both independently and in a team.
