Allygroup is seeking experienced paralegals to join a federal government agency. This is an opportunity to gain experience in professional services and create long-lasting contacts in a government agency. The position is in a fast-paced and exciting environment dealing with numerous complex pieces of legislation. Candidates will be assisting in the department's privacy branch.
This is a 6 month secondment opportunity with the possibility of further extensions.
Candidates must be based in Canberra and be available at least 4 days per week.
Our Ideal Candidates will:
- assist in the management of subpoena, notices and other paralegal and administrative tasks
- be able to think strategically and apply real life circumstance to legal frameworks
- have the ability to interpret complex legislation
- be confident working on complex and routine matters daily
- support and facilitate excellent legal outcomes
- be able to manage time effectively to ensure tight deadlines are met
- have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and
- attention to detail and accuracy.
Candidate's must also be studying a law degree, or possess other relevant tertiary qualifications.
