If yes, we're looking for you!About the roleWe are hiring a Paralegal to join our Recovery & Restructuring practice, based in our Brisbane office. Your role will be to manage secured and unsecured recovery workstreams, for several of our major Australian banks, and non-bank and private lender clients. You will work alongside lawyers in the team with an emphasis on time management, procedural compliance and quality assurance.Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- File management and client communication;
- Acting as first point of contact for clients, their customers and other parties relating to lender recovery matters;
- Preparing demands, statutory notices and legal documentation, including court recovery process documents, obtaining and enforcing judgment;
- File management and regular client communication via specialised web-based software; and
- Working with lawyers to progress complex matters requiring bespoke advice.
- You will be very well organised and have superior drafting skills and attention to detail.
- You will enjoy working in a friendly team environment under supportive partners, with on-the-job training and a mentor to help you along the way.
- You will be self-motivated and driven, with a professional outlook and phone manner.
- You will have an ability to respectfully deal with people in sensitive circumstances and know how to tailor your communications and client message to suit.
- You will be in the first half of your degree, if you are a law student.
