Gippsland Community Legal Service (GCLS) is a non-profit service of Anglicare Victoria. The mission of GCLS is to improve access to justice for all members of the Gippsland Community by providing legal advice and advocacy, empowering individuals and groups through community education, and to remove systemic injustice by advocating for law reform.
The Role
The role provides paralegal support and services to support the daily operations of the legal service including conducting research, drafting documents, legal administration tasks and casework assistance. The role provides an intake service for clients also.
To Be Successful in this Position You Will Need to:
- have knowledge or experience in working within a legal or community services sector
- demonstrated understanding of the legal/justice system
- have a commitment to the promotion of social justice and human rights.
- suitable qualifications in legal studies desirable or students actively studying Bachelor of Laws are encouraged to apply.
