About the role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic paralegal to join our highly-regarded shopping centre and mixed use asset team at Gadens, Brisbane on a permanent full time basis.
Sitting within our broader Property & Construction group, Gadens has one of the largest shopping centre and mixed use asset practices in Australia catering for the day-to-day operational needs of over 150 centres, including development, acquisitions and disposals, and all lease dealings (including disputes). This role will involve doing this work for assets in Queensland, New South Wales and the ACT.
With the support and guidance of senior lawyers and paralegals, you will be responsible for end-to-end file management and can expect your days to be filled with:
- processing new instructions, including direct contact with clients
- preparation of leases, assignments, surrenders, consents, and other lease dealings
- finalising documents, including execution by all parties
- arranging Titles Office registration by paper and PEXA
- financial and administrative tasks
About you
To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- a desire to be trained and learn from highly experienced supervisors
- a history of successfully working in a high volume, fast paced environment
- an ability to manage competing priorities and time constraints practically and effectively
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- the ability to build rapport with clients
- a team player and team first approach, with the ability to work with team members of varying levels
- pro-active focus on progressing matters to completion
Leasing experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
